I spent years working in health and wellness, helping people feel better from the inside out. But no matter how much attention I paid to what I put in my body, I couldn't find anything that worked for what was happening on it.
Living in the high desert of the Rocky Mountains is beautiful and brutal. The altitude, the dry air, the wind — they take a toll. My skin was constantly dry, reactive, and unhappy with every conventional moisturizer I tried. Too many ingredients. Too much fragrance. Products that promised everything and delivered a temporary fix at best.
So I went back to basics. I started researching what people used before the beauty industry existed — and kept coming back to beef tallow. Simple, fat-soluble, biocompatible. Your skin already knows what to do with it.
Buddered started in my kitchen, in small batches, made for my own skin. When it actually worked — really worked — I knew other people in dry climates and sensitive skin situations needed it too.
No fillers. No synthetics. Nothing you can't pronounce. Just the old school stuff, done better.
